Find information on international companies by searching widely in a range of resources listed below - note what companies say about themselves in the media, and what analysts say about companies.
Private and small companies can be very difficult to find out about (particularly financial details) - use news sources to gather as much information as you can.
Financial Times Company Content Hub
Useful for UK companies and selected international companies. Search for company name and look for the icon for Annual Reports in the results list.
Check company websites. Note: Private companies are not required to make annual reports public so this information can be very difficult to locate
Financial data and analysis for selected major companies. Use the Companies/Markets tab, select Company, then search for the company name using the search box.
Search the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for company filings. May contain more information than is published in annual reports.
Search by company or brand name.
Use the Companies/Markets tab, select Company, then search by company name. If your company is on Factiva, look for the peer comparison data link on the left-hand side of the screen.
Check company websites (e.g. sections headed About us, Press Releases), and news sources (e.g. Factiva) for comments about market share.
Factiva default search is only the last 3 months, but you can extend this limit.
Search for a product category or specific brand.
Check company websites for product information and news sources (e.g. Factiva) for articles based on press releases about new product launches.

Selected company profiles from Datamonitor. Use the Company Profile link under More at the top of the screen.
Includes profiles for selected companies.
Reports for selected international companies. Use the Companies/Markets tab, then click on Company, then search for your company name.
