How Do I Find Books on My Topic?

How Do I Find Books on my Topic?

  1. Start with the Library Catalogue

  2. Enter your search terms for your topic.

If you need help choosing search terms go here: How do I search for information?

a common problem with book searching is using terms that are too specific. If you don’t get enough results try using broader terms e.g. computer game rather than manhunt 2. Don’t forget to use the asterisk to pick up multiple word endings e.g. teenage*

  3. Your results list may include other types of information (e.g. DVDs) so look for the ones that are labelled Printed Text or Ebook.
