Services Available to Massey University Staff and Students
Massey University staff and students may borrow in person from any of the ULANZ libraries. See the registration information and services available for ULANZ members, or contact each library for further details.
Registration with Massey University Library
Registration with Massey University Library must be in person. Please bring your staff or student ID card to the Lending Desk as well as documented proof of your status as a current staff member or enrolled student. You will need to provide your local and term address, phone number(s) and email address. A Massey University Library record will be created for you at no charge, and will expire in February of the following year or sooner, depending on your enrolment or employment status at your ULANZ member library.
There is no fee associated with ULANZ registration.
Borrowing from Massey University Library
Please bring your photo ID from your university when borrowing. You may borrow a total of up to 40 books, with a loan period of 2 weeks (note that high demand books may be issued for shorter periods). You may request books that are already issued, or held at another Massey University Library. Books should be returned to the Massey University Library they were borrowed from.
Students with overdue books will be fined, and all borrowers will be blocked from borrowing when fines are $15 or over, or books are overdue.
Note that serials and reference-only items are not for loan.
Help
You can expect assistance from the Library’s Information Desk in finding your way around and finding relevant information. However, please note that priority may be given to Massey University staff and students during busy periods.
Photocopying
You may use the photocopying facilities. A card may be purchased from the Library for 60 cents and then money is loaded onto the card. This card is reusable and may be used at any Massey University campus library.
Interloans
Interlibrary loan, document delivery and distance services are the responsibility of the home library.
Access to Licensed Electronic Resources (e.g. databases and e-journals)
Access to licensed electronic resources is restricted to current Massey University staff and students, and not extended to ULANZ members. Walk-in access to a limited range of databases is available. For further information please see Visitor Access to Electronic Resources.
