Massey EndNote Profile

EndNote requires a number of filters, styles and other settings to work best with Massey Library resources.

  • For X4, X3 or X2 users on Windows PCs
The Library has developed the Massey Profile Installer to install many of the required files and settings. Download and run the file to update your computer.
  • For X4 or X3 users on Macs
Download and run our Massey Profile Installer for EndNote X4 or X3 to activate Massey features and access on EndNote. The Library has also provided a page with Tips for Mac Users for getting the best performance out of EndNote.
  • Other EndNote users
The Library strongly recommends users of older EndNote versions to upgrade to X3 to take advantage of the many new features, better stability and support. The files needed are available below for those who wish to do a manual install, or to add the ability to import references from the listed databases.

Files for other databases and styles can be downloaded from the EndNote website. Look under Downloads on the left-hand menu.

Installing FireFox

Firefox is a browser for accessing the Internet, and can be used as an alternative to Internet Explorer (IE). In many cases Firefox works better with Library resources.

  1. Download the latest version of Firefox. We recommend that you choose the English (British) version.

  2. Once the file has downloaded, double-click on the file to start the installation.

  3. Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 Users Only: You may be presented with a Security Warning asking if you want to run the file. Choose Run.

Windows Vista/Windows 7 Users Only: You may be presented with a User Account Control window asking if you are sure you want to install the software. Choose Yes.

  4. When presented with the Welcome to the Mozilla Firefox Setup Wizard window, click the Next> button.

  5. At the Setup Type screen, we recommend you choose the Standard option. If you want Firefox to be your default browser, make sure to tick the box marked "Use Firefox as my default browser". Click Next> to continue.

  6. At the Summary screen, click Install, then wait for the progress bar to reach the end.

  7. When the Completing the Mozilla Firefox Setup wizard appears, click the Finish button to launch Firefox.

Please contact us if you need any help with installing Firefox.
