Firefox is a browser for accessing the Internet, and can be used as an alternative to Internet Explorer (IE). In many cases Firefox works better with Library resources.
- Download the latest version of Firefox. We recommend that you choose the English (British) version.
- Once the file has downloaded, double-click on the file to start the installation.
- Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 Users Only: You may be presented with a Security Warning asking if you want to run the file. Choose Run.
Windows Vista/Windows 7 Users Only: You may be presented with a User Account Control window asking if you are sure you want to install the software. Choose Yes.
- When presented with the Welcome to the Mozilla Firefox Setup Wizard window, click the Next> button.
- At the Setup Type screen, we recommend you choose the Standard option. If you want Firefox to be your default browser, make sure to tick the box marked "Use Firefox as my default browser". Click Next> to continue.
- At the Summary screen, click Install, then wait for the progress bar to reach the end.
- When the Completing the Mozilla Firefox Setup wizard appears, click the Finish button to launch Firefox.
