Before you sign up for an alumni library membership, it’s important that you read the terms and conditions. By signing up, you’re agreeing to these terms.

Terms and conditions

To sign up for an alumni library membership, you must be a graduate or former staff member of Massey University.

‘Alumni’ are people who have received degrees or post-secondary diplomas or certificates from one of the following:

• Massey University
• Massey Agricultural College
• Wellington Polytechnic
• Palmerston North Teachers College
• the New Zealand School of Music (at the time the school was a joint venture between Massey and Victoria University of Wellington).

Alumni membership is only available to individuals. Corporate, group or business membership is not available.

Member access to electronic resources is restricted, and login details are not to be shared with other individuals or entities.

Alumni access to electronic resources is provided via Massey University Library’s licence agreements with publishers. Most content available to enrolled students is not available to alumni.

If you want to see which electronic databases, online journals and ebooks will be available to you before you sign up, we can give you a preview for 24 hours.

Library membership grants alumni non-transferable authorisation to download, save and print limited portions of content strictly for individual educational purposes.

All terms and conditions explicitly conveyed via the publisher shall be observed where relevant to alumni users. Licence violations traced back to specific users may result in the suspension of individual accounts.

Massey University Library makes no guarantee that:

• content will meet your requirements
• the electronic resources will be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis
• information obtained from the resources will be accurate.

Any content, materials, or information downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of the resources is done at your own discretion.

Alumni are responsible for returning or renewing print materials by their due date. Alumni are subject to the library’s normal borrowing regulations, overdue fines, and replacement charges.
