Retired Massey University
staff.

No charge

May borrow books for an average of 6-8 weeks. Requested books will be posted. Interloan available at $5. Document delivery from Massey University collections at no charge if at a distance. No remote access to licenced databases.

Retired Staff: Services (35 KB)

Written request to University Librarian from Head of Department or Human Resources Section upon retirement.

Alumni borrowers:

Graduates of Massey University.

$100 per year, or $50 for 6 months

May borrow books for 3 weeks. Requested books will be posted. Overdue fines will be charged. Interloans (copies only) available at $30. No remote access to licenced databases.

Contact the Massey University Alumni Office. Send requests for membership renewal to Head of Lending Services.

Partnership borrowers:

Individuals who are connected to Massey University through the establishment of a formal partnership or collaborative agreement.

$100 per year, or $50 for 6 months

May borrow books for 3 weeks. Requested books will be posted. Overdue fines will be charged. Interloans (copies only) available at $30. No remote access to licenced databases.

Financial borrowers:

Individuals with no connection to the University.

$200 per year, or $100 for 6 months

May borrow books for 3 weeks. Requested books will be posted. Overdue fines will be charged. Interloan (copies only) available at $30. No remote access to licenced databases.

Campus Passport Borrowers:

Individuals who hold a current Massey University campus passport.

$50 per semester

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only (no requests). Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Library Services to Campus Passport Holders (174 KB)

Apply in person to the Head of Lending Services at any campus. ID plus proof of Campus Passport status is required. Personal address and email details are also required.

Intending Doctoral & Masters students:

Individuals who are preparing a proposal for a Doctorate or Masters thesis, not currently enrolled, but have the support of a Massey University department.

No charge

May borrow books for an average of 6-8 weeks. Requested books will be posted if you live at a distance from a Massey University campus. Service available for a maximum of 4 months only. Overdue fines will be charged. Interloan available at $5. Document delivery from Massey University collections available at no charge if at a distance. Remote access to licenced databases for up to a maximum of four months.

Intending Doctoral or Masters Students: Services (35 KB)

Written request to Head of Lending Services or Campus Librarian from Head of Department

Reciprocal borrowers:

Currently enrolled students and staff of other NZ universities (ULANZ). Excludes Auckland University. Excludes art/design books at Massey University Library Wellington for Victoria University students.

No charge

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only. Requested books will be held in the Library for collection. Overdue fines will be charged for students. No remote access to licenced databases.

 

Application in person to Head of Lending Services or Campus Librarian. Student or staff ID plus written proof of current enrolment or employment required.

Palmerston North Normal Schools:

Teachers at Intermediate Normal, College Street Normal and Central Normal schools.

No charge.

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only, from Turitea and Hokowhitu libraries only. Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Normal Schools Palmerston North: Services (35 KB)

Application form to be presented in person at the Lending Desk, Turitea or Hokowhitu Libraries.

North Shore Secondary Schools:

Teachers at secondary schools in the North Shore region.

No charge.

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only, from Albany Library only. Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Secondary Schools: Services (35 KB)

Written request to Albany Campus Librarian or Albany Head of Lending Services.

Palmerston North Secondary Schools:

Teachers at secondary schools in Palmerston North city.

No charge.

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only, from Turitea and Hokowhitu libraries only. Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Application form to be presented in person at the Lending Desk, Turitea or Hokowhitu Libraries.

Wellington Secondary Schools:

Teachers at secondary schools in Welligton city, the Hutt Valley, and Porirua city.

No charge.

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only, from Wellington Library only. Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Secondary Schools: Services (35 KB)

Written request to Wellington Campus Librarian or Wellington Head of Lending Services.

Manawatu School Membership:

Teachers at schools in the wider Manawatu region.

$200 per school (annual).

May borrow books for 2 weeks, in person only, from Turitea and Hokowhitu libraries only. Overdue fines will be charged. No remote access to licenced databases.

Palmerston North Schools: Services (35 KB)

Written request including application form from Principal or nominee to Hokowhitu Site Librarian or Head of Lending, Turitea. Library cards to be requested in person at Lending Desks, Hokowhitu or Turitea libraries.

School Financial Borrower Form School Financial Borrower Form (33 KB)

Staff of Associated Institutions, Palmerston North:

Scientific and technical staff at Fonterra, CRIs, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, NZ Leather and Shoe Research Association, in Palmerston North and NZDF (Hokowhitu based).

No charge.

May borrow books for an average of 6-8 weeks from any Massey University collection. No remote access to licenced databases.
