Scholarships and awards administration

The Graduate Research School, assisted by the Scholarships Committee, is responsible for the administration and management of scholarships, bursaries and awards. This includes maintaining the Scholarships website; receiving, acknowledging, and processing scholarship applications; and monitoring and paying scholarship stipends. The GRS staff are not the first port of call for inquiries, and students or prospective students should contact the University's campus contact offices or the national Call Centre with individual inquiries about scholarships. These offices have individuals who are trained in Scholarship customer service.

The Dean of the GRS, who is the Chair of the Scholarships committee, represents Massey on the Universities New Zealand scholarships selection processes. The Scholarships Committee, which usually meets on the third Thursday of each month (the second week in December), is responsible for policy and quality assurance for scholarships on behalf of Massey University. Its members also select applicants for the award of scholarships, though many scholarships also have separate independent selection committees. The committee comprises of academic staff from the Colleges with secretarial support from the GRS (see link below for further information).

Currently there are a range of over 300 scholarships available for both current and prospective Massey students. Information about these scholarships can be accessed on the link below.
