Appendix to Parking Regulations

For the Users of Numbered and Reserved Carparks
Massey University reserves the right to reallocate or renumber parks as required, users will be notified as soon as possible of changes.

Numbered Park Users

  • Numbered spaces are for the sole use of the College/Institute/School/ Department, etc, or person to which the space is allocated.
  • Numbered space users must use the numbered space they have been allocated, and may not park in general reserved parking spaces (rule 4 is the only exception to rule 3).
  • If an unauthorised user has parked on your numbered space, you are entitled to park on a general reserved parking space (if one is available), you should then notify the Security/Traffic Office, immediately, so appropriate enforcement action can be taken against the unauthorised user.

Reserved Parks Users

  • You may not register more than two vehicles, and only one may be parked at a time in your allotted parking area.
  • Access rights to your allocated parking area are not transferable to any other person, failure to comply may result in access to your parking area being terminated.
  • A reserved access label allows access to a specific parking area, but does not guarantee a parking space within this area.

All Users

  • If your allocated park is full, your access card allows you entry/exit to the Orchard Park, Bourke Road Park (Turitea Campus), and Main Park (Hokowhitu).
  • It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to remove all labels from a vehicle prior to it being sold and to inform the Security/Traffic Office of the sale. Owners must apply for new labels immediately on purchasing a new vehicle.
  • If a courtesy vehicle, or other unregistered vehicles are used by an authorised user, for a short period, they must notify the Security/Traffic Office immediately upon parking, to avoid enforcement action being taken.
  • Registered vehicle owners who change their Massey addresses must notify the Security/Traffic Office of the change, as soon as possible.
  • Access cards remain the property of Massey University and must be returned when relinquishing park.
  • If the account for parking is not paid by due date or the automatic deduction from the registered users salary stops the access card will be deactivated.
