Employee Participation
Within each School, Institute, Section there is an opportunity for staff to elect a Health and Safety Representative. The process for elections is detailed in the Employee Participation Agreement, as are the functions of elected Health and Safety Representatives. The representatives are listed in the tables below. Some Schools or Instutues may have a person with edassigned safety responsibilities. These people are also listed.
The Participation Agreement includes Terms of Reference for the Safety Consultative Committee, which is made up of 50% of staff members, and 50% of management staff. A list of members and the most recent meeting minutes can be found below.
Training courses for Health and Safety representatives are available from external providers. For upcoming dates and advice, please contact the University Health and Safety Manager.
