Microsoft Lync is the latest and greatest iteration to Microsoft's VOIP communication service. In particular you can talk to people, even face-to-face meetings by using webcam and chat through instant message. In addition, Lync allows you to conduct online meetings, also have screen sharing, virtual whiteboards, electronic file sharing and even online polling. Lync also allows users to log in to any Lync communication device and act like as if they are in their office.
The staff phone directory allows you to search on first name, last name, department, extension and/or location. Searches are are not case sensitive. Results are limited to 100 for security reasons.
Massey University is among the first Microsoft customers worldwide to be granted access to deploy the latest and greatest version of Lync – Skype for Business.
