The general and specialist computer labs are provided for teaching and learning purposes. Students have access to a range of services including: software, printing, free web mail, free internet access and student home (network) drives for document storage.
Most general labs are open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Specialist labs may be open at other hours. Lab opening hours are displayed in most of the labs, on the info screens outside the labs and also on our website.

The Paper Coordinator's Guide relates to the provision of resources and materials for students who need to access computing facilities for some part of their course work.
Each campus Library offers an Information Commons for student use - free internet access is available to students here, as well as access to various software applications and IT-related support. The Commons are open for longer times than many of the general student labs.
No removing, tampering or interfering with lab computers. If a computer or printer is faulty please report this to the ITS Service Desk
No smoking, eating or drinking allowed in the labs (water bottles with self sealing lids can be used)
Where a lab requires a card for access, these cards are the responsibility of the students they are registered to. Abuse of the card can result in the removal of the card from the student. Stolen or lost cards must be reported to Facilities Management
Using P2P (Peer-to-Peer) applications is NOT PERMITTED in the computer labs. (P2P applications include, but not limited to, KaZaA, Morpheus, Limewire, BitTorrent, Edonkey.)

No Gaming allowed in the labs – the labs are here to assist you with your studies
Computers are not to be used for accessing or transmitting offensive content or information. Doing so can result in your computer / lab access being blocked
All computers labs are for the sole use of Massey students only
Be considerate of others while using the labs
Keep the noise at a reasonable level (use personal headphones if possible
Leave the labs in a clean and tidy state. If you have rubbish, dispose of it in a suitable manner
Anyone who fails to follow the lab rules will be subject to disciplinary action and may be dealt with seriously.
Loss of access to computing privileges may result, meaning you will not be able to log on to the computers or complete course-related work.

The ITS Service Desk will be closed Monday 27th April for the ANZAC Day weekend (Closed 5pm Friday 24 April until 7:45am Tuesday 28 April).
Out-of-hours Support is provided for critical services only, and on a best effort basis dependent on the availability of ITS staff and/or appropriate external support agents.
