The SSS Unit is located at Massey University, Hokowhitu campus, Centennial Drive in the Te Ara Building. The Unit commenced operations in June 2012 and reports directly to the Assistant Vice-Chancellor Operations, International & University Registrar.

Improving student administration and related academic and teaching and learning processes through process changes, operational and management reporting, business change management (which is outside the scope of RAPID), routine and ad hoc reporting, organisational changes, and system development and configuration management. Quality assuring and monitoring student and related business processes against service standards and performance indicators
Integrity (accuracy and consistency), quality and timeliness of the Student Management System reference data and key transactional data
Business support, training and education on Student Management and related processes and business systems
SMS system access
The Student Management System Work Programme and alignment with the commercial SMS Project
