How access is managed

Network Access and Usercode                      

All staff access the Massey Network with their staff login.                                                                                    Network access provides access to email, internet, printers, and shared disk space. Access can be requested by completing the User Registration form.  

Access is granted overnight

Once the usercode and password have been created this information will be sent to the budget centre manager who can provide the new manager with their log on and email details.                        

                                                                

MyHR, the HR self service portal

Access is available as soon as the Massey network usercode has been obtained, the staff member has commenced in their role and a data match has been done, as arranged by HR.                

A data match is processed overnight

Delegations

A range of sub-delegations for contract signing, finance and human resource responsibilities may be available to you using the agency process. Please discuss this with your manager, and initiate requests through the DelegationPoint system.

Once forms are submitted and approved by the delegate and agent, access is granted straight away

Access to this tool is available, subject to level 3 or level 4 manager approval. An application form is available at the Managers Toolkit, under the My Team section.

RAPID payroll reports

Access is available to specific budget centres, subject to level 3 or level 4 manager approval. An application form is available at the Manager Toolkit under the My Team section.

RAPID Reports for Student Information

Access is granted once a user has attended training. New users must bring to the training a signed access form declaring that the use of student data is a part of their ongoing role at Massey. The forms can be found at https://RAPID.massey.ac.nz

Once training is completed, access is granted overnight

TechOne

Once delegations are confirmed, access can be requested by completing a form available at the Finance webpage.

Once forms submitted, access to Citrix is granted by ITS, and then TechOne becomes available (usually same day)

When submitting the application form also request training, to be sent to TechOneHelpDesk@massey.ac.nz

Staff Expertise Profile System

The Staff Expertise Profile System creates an individual profile page for each staff member once they have commenced in their role. To update an individual profile page log on to the profile.

Mailing Lists (SYMPA)

By logging in with their Massey usercode and password at SYMPA, staff can request new mailing lists, subscribe to and unsubscribe from lists, manage existing lists and subscription preferences.

SMS

To access administrative systems that contain information about students, staff, budgets or location complete the access request forms on the ITS admin systems webpage.

Requests are reviewed and processed within 5 working days

EDRMS

A managed and collaborative digital workplace for use by Massey staff to create and share electronic content of the University. Access to the EDRMS can be requested by completing the registration form on the ITS admin systems webpage.

Once access is granted it is available immediately

A list of training events is available at the ERDMS OneMassey Site or by contacting EDRMS@massey.ac.nz

Orbit Travel profile

For staff who will be travelling on University business, a profile can be set up with the University’s travel provider. The profile can be completed by the travel arranger in the department prior to the staff member commencing in their new role. To create a profile, complete the online form.

The profile will be created in 2 working days
