The Massey University Women’s Leadership Programme is designed to encourage and promote leadership qualities in academic and professional staff women at Massey. This Programme is also the pre-requisite for staff wishing to apply to the national New Zealand Women in Leadership Programme. A maximum of 20 participants are able to attend the programme. At least one place will be allocated to a Māori staff member and at least one place will be allocated to a Pasifika or new migrant staff member. The focus will be on identifying your leadership strengths and preferred behaviors. This will be linked to a project, that will focus on one of the strategic imperatives within the University’s new Strategic Plan.
Staff can make an application or managers may nominate a participant. Application / Nomination is to the College or Service line (Senior Leadership Team (SLT) portfolio) in the first instance. A manager’s nomination requires formal acceptance by the prospective participant and an individual application must be endorsed by the person’s own manager. Each College / Service line will rank the individuals and all nominations will be forwarded to the University selection committee.
