Massey is committed to providing an enabling work environment but is aware that given the size of our organisation, it is a natural assumption that a number of our staff will undergo periods in their personal and professional lives where they will require additional support and guidance to enable them to deal with any issues that they may be experiencing. Massey is keen to support our staff’s health and wellness and encourages active assistance and support in their time of need. Below are a number of websites that provide helpful and informative information on a range of personal issues:
Immigration NZ provides detailed information and necessary forms for individuals needing to apply or renew their work permits or individuals wanting to apply for permanent residency to New Zealand.
Family and community services provide information on a range of topics including how to connect with your community, advice on raising children and supporting your relationship or marriage, methods on how to look after yourself, ways to deal with addiction (alcohol, gambling, substance abuse, smoking and drug addiction), mental health, anxiety, grief and depression as well as providing information on legal advice to name just a few.
The Samaritans is a service available 24 hours a day and provides a confidential listening and support service. The Samaritans deal with a number of personal matters and are available day or night on 0800 726 666.
The Citizens Advice Bureau provides information to assist with a number of personal issues such as tenancy advice, finding local childcare to needing advice on how to deal with a neighbour.
