Employee Assistance Programme

If you have personal or professional issues that are affecting your work, you may be able to get help and support from EAP Services - a confidential and independent counselling organisation that manages the University’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). As well as counselling, EAP Services provides a proactive personal support strategy which provides training and tools to individuals in order to enable them to better deal with professional and personal issues.

This nationwide service provides you with access to confidential, professional counselling by qualified, registered and experienced counsellors. EAP Services guarantees you an appointment within 48 hours. Urgent appointments can however be made sooner if appropriate.

EAP Services are available to all staff of a 0.5FTE or greater who have an employment agreement of 12 months or more. Massey University will meet the cost of up to three counselling sessions per staff member for each presenting problem and the service is completely confidential and voluntary.

Should you require any further information on this service please visit the Employee Support Services Policy. Alternatively if you would like to make an appointment with EAP Services then they can be contacted on either 0800 327 669 or email through their website.
