Most salaried University staff are entitled to five University holidays, which are:
These University holidays are in addition to your annual leave entitlement and any public holidays. These days do not need to be applied for or approved.
If you work on a University holiday, you will be paid for any hours worked at your ordinary hourly rate. In addition, you will be entitled to a substitute day off in lieu (pro rated by actual hours worked). This time is to be taken as soon as practicable, but within four weeks. If time off in lieu is not able to be taken within four weeks, payment for ordinary hours worked at your ordinary rate of pay may be made.
