First Time To This Website?

The People and Organisational Development website, launched in March 2010, has been developed with two aims:

  • To enable you to find the information you want and find it quickly.
  • To allow us to promote to staff the wider picture of what is available to you as an employee at Massey.

How the information is structured

The employee life cycle

Information for the website has been grouped around five main headings:

Joining Massey - Recruitment processes and information for both permanent and temporary staff are contained in this section.

Pay, Benefits and Recognition - Payroll information, benefits including leave, current salary grades and the main employment agreements which form the basis of an employee's terms and conditions of employment are detailed here, and also how Massey rewards excellence for both academic and professional staff.

My Career - The PRP process, academic and professional career progression, development and training and our internal and external vacancies webpages can be accessed from this section.

My Work Environment - This section details information regarding health and wellbeing, support services available both within Massey and external suppliers. Massey's expectations regarding behaviour and performance, including University policies and procedures and the structure of the University are listed in this section.

Leaving Massey - Staff leaving Massey also have particular needs when leaving the University is detailed here.

How to quickly find what you want

Toolkits

Three toolkits have been developed that provide sets of quicklinks to commonly asked questions:

A fourth webpage called HR Forms has also been developed, as forms are a common reason for contacting us.

If you think you will be regularly visiting specific pages of our website we recommend you save these URL addresses as favourites on your browser, so one click will be all you need to access areas of the website you are most interested in.

Searching

The use of headings has been developed to optimise searching for keywords on the website, so using the Massey keyword search function is recommended.

This website and the toolkits has been developed from a foundation of commonly asked queries and ongoing feedback is most welcomed. Comments and any further questions can be made by contacting our HRHelpdesk@massey.ac.nz.
