Career in brief

I was a Medical Laboratory Scientist for 20 years before changing careers approximately 10 years ago into Quality Management.

Some highlights

As a Med Lab I specialised in running small medical labs both New Zealand and off-shore. My final appointment had me Deployed to East Timor as part of the medical team with the New Zealand Defence Force in 1999.
I have undertaken a number of projects at Massey including the introduction of TURNITIN the text matching software.

Current research & interests

Interested in anything to do with plagiarism, text matching programmes, academic integrity. 
I have an on-going interest also in:
Assessment Practice, especially on-line assessment
Quality Management Systems in complex organisations
Quality Improvement and the data we use to make decisions
Student surveys especially those involved with student engagement.
