Present a poster

Update: The date to submit your expression of interest to present a poster has now closed. Staff are encouraged to bring their posters with them early on the day so they can be appropriately displayed. All posters with titles and abstracts will appear in the Symposium booklet.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One way to actively contribute to this year’s Vice-Chancellor’s Symposium is to prepare an A1 poster that illustrates your response to the question:

• How are we defining ourselves as 21st century scholars?

These posters will be at the core of this year's Symposium. They will be a key feature during the morning programme where presenters will get a chance to explain and discuss their ideas to delegates. Digitals images of each poster will be displayed electronically for online participants.

Win a prize

Substantial prizes including an iPad will be awarded for the best and most thought-provoking posters. Importantly the poster question is relevant to the work of both academic and general (professional) staff.

Details of Poster Format

Posters should be:  provocative, thoughtful, engaging, and present individual or group or unit responses to the question of what defines us as 21st Century scholars—that is, as contemporary advancers, disseminators and maintainers of knowledge. Posters should be on a single A1 sheet and include full names and contact details of its producers. You may wish to use the standard Massey poster template that is available through the Design Studio. Images, diagrams and figures need to be of a high enough quality for printing - 300 dpi (dots per inch) is preferable for printing purposes. More information is available by contacting the Design Studio [http://printery.massey.ac.nz/contact] and here is an example of a poster using the template.
