Bike Now

Bike Now is a national bike-to-work research project commissioned by LTNZ that aims to:

1. Provide support and resources to encourage people to cycle to work
2. Investigate reasons why people would not/never ride to work

Massey is one of 15 workplaces in Wellington to participate in the project.Your input - whether you will ever cycle to work or not, will really make a difference.

Pedaling health - the benefits of biking

• Regular cyclists have the health of someone 10 years younger
• 7km a day reduces coronary heart disease by 50%
• Anxiety, stress and depression are reduced
• Cyclists are more alert, less prone to stress and accidents and have fewer sick days
• Cycling burns no fossil fuels, creates no air pollution or greenhouse gas emissions
• By cycling to work, you directly make New Zealand a safer, quieter, less polluted and civilised place
• You have fun

Parking
Bike racks are located on the south side of the Museum Building, the south side of Block 1, and the north side of Block 5. New covered bike parking is coming soon.
