Facilities at Fergusson Hall

Fergusson Hall is the place to be if you want to save some money by cooking your own meals while living in a Hall environment. The Hall is situated on the hill overlooking the university. ‘Ferg’ students enjoy living next to campus while not being right on campus. The Hall’s buildings are set on 3 hectares of grounds creating an amazing place to live by providing sports fields, a volleyball court, cricket wicket, garden areas and inspiring views of the Manawatu.

Aside from the physical benefits, students value the friendships they make during their stay at Ferg. Some students enjoy their first year so much they apply to return to Fergusson Hall for a second or third year. This provides an added bonus for those in their first year as they benefit from the experience and knowledge of these returning students. Alongside the social life, Fergusson Hall provides a great environment for study. Our large study room is equipped with computers connected to the internet and the Hall computer network. All residents’ rooms have a connection to the Hall computer network, providing fast internet access for those happy to pay for their own internet access via a local internet service provider.  The Hall also has wireless coverage in all buildings.
