Each year our applications open on 1 August. In order to be considered in the first round of offers, your application and completed reference should be received no later than 1 October. Late applications will be accepted after this date providing rooms are still available. Accommodation Offers are sent out from the first week in October, so be sure to get your application form and reference in as soon as possible.
Please ensure you complete all the sections of the online application.
All domestic students are required to submit a reference.
School Leavers are required to have their school complete a CCRF (Common Confidential Reference Form). You can do this here.
Non-School Leavers are required to submit a character reference by a previous landlord or employer. Please download this form: Character Reference Form for Non School Leavers.pdf (97 KB) then complete and return to us via email.
Returning Residents are not required to submit a reference.
Please note all references remain confidential to those concerned with considering applications for the types of accommodation specified and will not be used for any other purpose. Massey University undertakes to collect, use and disclose personal information consistent with its purposes and functions under the Education Act 1989 and in accordance with the provisions of the NZ Official Information Act 1982 and the NZ Privacy Act 1993.
Once your application has been processed, you will be sent an offer via email. Please ensure that you follow the next steps in the letter by the deadline date.
To confirm your place, you must complete the online residential agreement and pay the deposit fee within the date outlined on your offer letter.
Once your residential agreement has been fully completed and your deposit fee received, your place is now secured.
