Additional Costs

Power

The 2017 rental rates include reasonable usage of power. This is a generous level of power, determined by the usage of prior occupants. In the unlikely event that students' usage exceeds a reasonable level, they will be responsible for paying the additional costs.

Internet

Citylink is a wireless service provider installed throughout 222 Willis. Unlimited internet packages can be purchased for 1 day, 1 week or 1 month at a time.

Insurance

We strongly encourage students to have an insurance policy for their contents. Some policies cover the belongings of a student as part of their parents' policy. If this is not the case in your situation, please arrange coverage for your contents yourself. Liability insurance is also a good idea in case you unintentionally damage the building.

Groceries

As 222 Willis is self-catered accommodation, students need to purchase groceries and prepare their own meals. We recommend you budget between $50 - $85 per week on groceries.  Also remember that you will have personal items and course related costs in addition to this.

There is a fruit and vegetable market directly across the road from 222 Willis. This is the cheapest way of purchasing your fresh produce and eggs.

Some residents choose to purchase a My Food Bag or similar and have this delivered weekly. CountDown supermarket also deliver groceries for a delivery fee.

You may find your first grocery bills are higher as you set your pantry up.
