Massey operates two Halls in Wellington: The Cube Hall and our new 2018 Hall - Kāinga Rua. Both Halls are located in the heart of Wellington, across the street from each other and within walking distance to the campus, CBD, museums, restaurants and cafes. They have live-in residential staff to ensure that residents join a fun and safe community. Our team takes time to get to know all the residents and are there to give advice on how to get the best out of Hall life and studying at University. Staying in a hall of residence is a great way to meet other students and settle into life at Massey University within a safe and supportive environment.
Massey University can arrange Homestay accommodation for those looking to live within a family environment. This is the mandatory option for all international students under 18.
A host of exciting events and activities are organised by residential staff and residential assistants at the Halls throughout the year. One of the best ways to meet other students and make friends is attending these events, so we encourage you to get as involved as much as possible.
All residents pay an Activity Fee which is used to enhance your stay at the halls. All events and activities endeavour to be inclusive of all residents and often include food. Events are advertised via posts on Facebook and posters.
Applications for 2018 places open on 1st August and close on 1st October 2017.
We always get more applications than places so we recommend apply well before the deadline. Applying for a place within the Halls is easy, but the process can be slightly different for International students, so choose the option that applies to you below.
