Ten Signs That a Mate May be Struggling

(just a few ideas there are other signs too)

My mate is:

  • Acting differently, maybe sleeping or eating more /less than usual, changing their routines
  • Not hanging our with their friends as much as usual
  • Putting off doing things (more than usual)
  • Putting themselves down all the time
  • Drinking or using drugs more than before
  • Doing risky or dangerous things
  • Really moody, bursting into tears, really grumpy or aggressive
  • Having problems with their family
  • Have just broken up with their boy/girl friend
  • Not looking after themselves, looking scruffy, not washing, putting on heaps of weight
  • Talking about suicide – even as a joke
