CV and Cover Letter Review Email Service - students on the Manawatu and Wellington campuses and distance students
About the service
Where you have a draft CV or cover letter that you would like us to review, you can email it to us via:
- N.A.Stone@massey.ac.nz (Manawatu campus students)
- P.R.Fitzmaurice@massey.ac.nz (Wellington campus students)
- emcareers@massey.ac.nz (distance students).
It is expected that your CV or cover letter will be returned to you within three working days, though during peak demand times this may not be possible. When you receive our feedback, you will need to allow further time to revise the draft.
Note
- This is a free service for current Massey students and recent Massey graduates
- You can submit up to three versions of your CV and cover letter to us by email per semester
What we will need from you
- A copy of your CV or cover letter submitted to us as a word document
- Full details of the job for which you are applying or of the type of work that you are seeking
- Any closing dates that you need to have submitted your CV by.
- Any particular questions or concerns that you would like us to address on your draft.
What we will do
- Provide feedback and advice about any difficulties we identify within your draft.
- Respond to your questions with relevant information as to how these matters can be overcome.
What we do not do
- Identify every mistake or error in your draft. This is not a proof-reading service.
- Respond to more than three versions of your CV or cover letter per semester.
- Write your CV or cover letter for you.

Would you prefer face-to-face help?
A face-to-face review of your CV is possible through the CV clinics run on the Manawatu campus. These operate on Mondays; Wednesdays and Fridays between 10.00 am and 12.00 Noon. Please sign up for one of these by using the ‘view available appointments’ tab on Massey CareerHub.
