Issues to consider
There are many reasons why people want to study at university. The most common include enhancing career prospects; following a passion for a subject; tapping into new experiences and seeking challenges. Coupled with this are the desire to work alongside people with shared interests; a keeness to meet new people and an interest in developing new skills and in growing personally and professionally.
Setting a goal for your studies will help you to stay motivated while studying. The best results are often obtained if you study something that you find interesting. We recommend that you:
- Consider your interests and what you like doing
- Research your course and career options
- Remember that, like many, your goals may change
- Ask for our help with anything you are unsure about
