Student ID cards

How to request an ID card

  1. Log into your student homepage.
  2. Click the Request student ID card link.
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to capture or upload your photo.

IMPORTANT: Your photo will be rejected unless it meets the following photo requirements:

  • No image manipulation or filters.
  • Head and shoulders centred with a clear gap around the sides of the head, including hair.
  • Plain, light-coloured background.
  • No head bands or head covering (except on religious grounds).
  • Head straight to camera, eyes open, mouth closed.
  • Eyes must show clearly through glasses - no reflections
  • No sunglasses or glasses with tinted lenses that obscure the eyes.

If you are uploading an existing photo, it must also meet the following requirements:

  • File type: JPG, JPEG, BMP, PNG.
  • File size: Minimum 500KB, maximum 4MB.
  • Full colour.
  • Less than six months old.

Once you submit your image you will receive an acknowledgement email.

We will review your photo and send you a confirmation email within 2 working days. Please check you junk mail and/or contact us if you do not receive an email within this time period.

Delivery

Domestic students

Internal students

ID cards requested between mid-February to mid-March for the current academic year will be sent to your Campus Information Service Centre and you will be emailed when it is available for collection.

ID cards requested outside of mid-February to mid-March for the current academic year will be posted to the address on your student record.

ID cards requested in 2017 for 2018 study will be posted to you in January 2018 to the address on your student record.

Please note: If you change your address after requesting a card please contact us to update your details. Failure to do so will generate a replacement card fee.

Distance students

ID cards requested for the current academic year will be delivered to the address on your student record.

ID cards requested in 2017 for 2018 study will be delivered to you in January 2018 to the address you supplied us.

International students

Your ID card will be delivered to your Campus Information Services Centre and you will be emailed when it is available for collection.

Replacement cards

If you request a replacement card before 3 months of the expiry date listed on the card there will be a replacement card fee added to your student account.

If your card is faulty please visit a Campus Information Services Centre or contact us.
