Polyfest performances would not be possible without some serious behind the scenes work. Who do you appreciate? Nominate your unsung hero for a return trip to Tonga including 3 nights’ accommodation, thanks to Air New Zealand and the Tanoa Hotel Group.


How to enter

  • Make an Instagram post (photo or video) including your unsung hero – they must be aged 18 years or over.
  • Caption the person’s name and explain why you think they deserve the prize.
  • Tag @Pasifikamassey
  • Hashtags #PasifikaatMassey #takemetoTonga. #FlyAirNZ must be included
  • Competition closes Sunday 18th March 2018

Competition details and criteria

  • The prize is economy class flights for two adults to Tonga (Auckland to Tonga return) provided by Air New Zealand.
  • The prize include 3 nights’ accommodation at Tanoa International Dateline Hotel in Nuku’alofa.
  • Flights must be commenced and completed by a date to be set by Air New Zealand.
  • To be eligible for this prize the winner must be 18 years and older.
  • The competition will open on Sunday 4th of March at 9am and close on Sunday 18th March.
  • The winner will be contacted directly and announced on the Pasifika@Massey Facebook page.
  • Travel is on Air New Zealand operated services only, seats are limited and are subject to availability and not available during school or public holiday periods.
  • All airport and government costs are at the traveller’s expense.
  • Bookings must be requested at least 7 days before proposed departure date and tickets are non changeable once issued. Original Prize Certificate must be produced to process ticketing.
  • Travel is non transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Travel is not eligible for any frequent flyer (including Airpoints Dollars) accrual, upgrades, companion redemption or credit of tier status. The prize is economy class flights for two adults to Tonga (Auckland to Tonga return) provided by Air New Zealand and does not include any other associated travel costs.
  • All prize travel will be subject to Air New Zealand’s General Terms and Conditions of carriage.

The aim of this competition is to recognise the unpaid workers behind the scenes. The following are NOT ELIGIBLE to enter this competition:

  • Employees of Massey University and their families.
  • ASB Polyfest Tongan Team Tutors.
  • Teachers associated with the Tongan Polyfest teams.
  • ASB Polyfest festival staff.

  3. Massey University’s decisions in relation to these competitions are final and no correspondence will be entered into. Massey University reserves the right to remove any person from the prize draw for any reason including, but not limited to, where the eligibility criteria for entry into the competition have not been met.
  4. Massey University reserves the right to make public the names of the competition winners in the spirit of transparency but will not use the information for marketing purposes without the expressed permission of winners, or parents of winners.
