Dr. Madhumita Bhattacharya is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Technology, Science and Mathematics Education, College of Education, Massey University, New Zealand since April, 2003. Her area of specialization and research interest is in Learning Technologies particularly for Technology, Science and Mathematics Education.

In October, 2003 she was invited as Guest Researcher (in a professorial position) at the CESER, HUTE, Japan. She is also associated with the University of Tartu, Estonia as a Visiting Professor for providing academic advise towards the establishment of a Centre for Research in Educational Technology and the curriculum development for the postgraduate degree courses leading to Masters and Ph.D. in Educational Technology.

Dr. Bhattacharya has taught in various faculty development and teacher education programmes at tertiary education level at the CET, IITD, India; CRADLE, TITech, Japan, NIME, Japan and IS, NIE, NTU, Singapore.

Dr. Bhattacharya has received awards and grants from different organisations for her reseach publications and projects, e.g., AACE, JSPS, Monbusho, etc. She has been co-investigator for a number of international projects funded by USIF, World Bank, AT&T, etc.
