Hybrid and Adaptive Systems for Computer Vision and Robot Control

This special journal issue aims to provide an opportunity for international researchers to present and discuss recent advances in the foundations, integration architectures and applications of hybrid and adaptive systems for computer vision and robot control. It is intended as a follow-up on the special session at ICONIP 2010 , held in Sydney, Australia. Nevertheless, we are also welcoming papers from other authors with relevant research that aligns with this theme.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:

Hybrid Intelligent Vision Systems
Real-time Object Recognition; Feature Extraction; Pattern Recognition; Tracking and Surveillance; Biometrics; Behaviour Recognition; Gesture Recognition.
Hybrid Intelligent Control and Automation
Cooperative Control; Adaptive Control; Robust Control; Biomedical Instrumentation; Modelling and Simulation.
Adaptive Learning Systems for Robotics
Humanoid and Mobile Robotics; Search and Rescue; Bio-robotics; Tele-robotics; Swarm robotics.
