110km 60km 15km Fun Ride

The Rides:
Fun rides for all who ride cycles. The courses pass through the rolling
farmland surrounding Pahiatua.
What you get for your entry fee...
110km/60km:
The rides start and finish at Tui Brewery, State Highway 2, Mangatainoka,
4km North of Pahiatua. The challenging courses take riders through the rolling
farmland surrounding Pahiatua. The course circuit means no support vehicles
are required, leaving support crew time to enjoy a visit to the Tui Museum
and refreshments at Tui HQ.
15km Ride:
This ride is aimed at both younger riders and riders who may not be fit enough
to try longer distances. Children 10 years and under to be accompanied by
an adult rider. Entry fee is $10 per person (maximum of $25 per family). This
does not include a meal. Accompanying adults free.
Relay event:
Relay teams consist of two riders, each completing a 30km leg. The relay
will start at the same time as the 60km riders. This is a great opportunity
for partners, families and friends to have a fun day out. Each section is
reasonably flat with two hills in the first section and one mid way through
the second. Transition at 30km is at the corner of Hamua-Rongomai & Mangaone
Valley Roads. Car parking is available for the relay riders at the transition
point prior to 10am. Between 10am and 11.30am the car park will be closed
to vehicles to ensure safe passage for cyclists through the transition area.
The transition area will be clearly marked with marshals in control. For rider
safety, please ensure that you follow the marshals instructions at all times.
Incoming riders will be asked to enter the paddock to change their transponders
before the new riders head off. Timing for this event will be an overall time
not individual. Entry fee for this event is $25.00 per person. This does not
include a meal.
Tandem riders:
Entry fee for this event is $45.00 per person and accordingly gives both riders
a meal and drink following the event.
Start/finish:
A controlled start from inside the Tui Tower compound until the intersection
of Carisbrook and Middle Roads. The finish line is on Kohinui Road and then
riders will be funnelled into the Tower compound into a single file to receive
a free drink. Please remove the transponder at this stage and place in the
containers provided.

Notes:
Meal included with entry for 60km and 110km rides if registered prior to
the cutoff date..
All traffic laws must be obeyed.
Safety standards approved helmets must be worn by all cyclists.
Riders should carry liquid refreshments, food and puncture repair kits. Extra
clothing might be wise for the 60km and 110km rides.
