SCHOLARSHIPS

CAPS supports Massey University students through two awards. Applications for both close with the Secretary, CAPS,  on 31 March in the year in which the Award is to be made. 

The CAPS Undergraduate Scholarships in Applied Economics
These have a value of up to $500 per annum, and are offered annually as funds permit provided that applications are of sufficient merit. Candidates must be enrolled full-time at Massey University in the BApplEcon or BBS(Economics) degree programmes. First year students are not eligible.

The CAPS Scholarships
These have a value of up to $1,000 per annum and are open to all students enrolled full-time for a postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in an area of applied economics. The Scholarships are awarded annually as funds permit provided that applications are of sufficient merit. Applications are especially encouraged from students studying or researching in an area relevant to Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies’ work programme.

PRIZES

The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies Prize in The Global Food Economy

  1. The prize shall be known as the "The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies Prize in Global Food Economy", and shall have an annual value of $250.

  2. The prize shall be awarded to the student obtaining the highest mark in the paper 178.245 The Global Food Economy.  In the case of two or more students attaining equal highest marks, the Director of the Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies shall select a single recipient on the basis of criteria such as marks in other papers.

  3. The prize shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Director of the Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies.

  4. The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies reserves the right to review the conditions of the prize annually, or to not award the prize in any year.

 

The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies Prize in International Trade in Agri-food Products

  1. The prize shall be known as the "The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies Prize in International Trade in Agri-food Products", and shall have an annual value of $300.

  2. The prize shall be awarded to the student obtaining the highest mark in the paper 178.358 International Trade in Agri-food Products.  In the case of two or more students attaining equal highest marks, the Director of the Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies shall select a single recipient on the basis of criteria such as marks in other papers.

  3. The prize shall be awarded on the recommendation of the Director of the Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies.

  4. The Centre for Applied Economics and Policy Studies reserves the right to review the conditions of the prize annually, or to not award the prize in any year.
