Mathematical modelling, mathematical biology, epidemiology.

Consulting Interests
Analysis of the population dynamics of infectious diseases and the optimisation of disease control programmes.

Consulting Experience
Ministry of Health: measles vaccination schedule; pertussis control; epidemiology of diabetes, physical inactivity and obesity; risks from importation of smallpox and SARS; Pandemic influenza.
AgResearch: epidemiology and control of bovine tuberculosis in possums.
European Commission: geographic risk of BSE.
Member of the WHO SARS Modelling Working Group.
