David Burns talks to Mazz Scannell about his trade, generational knowledge and the future of furniture repair. Demand for reupholstering hasn’t reduced, the two storeys of his old family home are stuffed with broken and damaged furniture. Inside the front door is a yellow velvet antique button back chair with “Taylor” written on in. “I am waiting for them to decide on what colour they want it covered in,” David says.
