Accommodation
at Fergusson Hall during the summer and university holiday breaks
Fergusson Hall is available
to be used by groups during the summer for reunions, conferences, club
gatherings or special events. Bookings for up to 60 people can be made
during the summer months when our students are not living in the Hall.
This period is between mid-November and mid-February. If your group
requires linen, towels or catering these can be arranged.
If you have a contact course
at Massey's Tiritea campus for your extramural course, and it falls
during the three week break in June/July, contact the Head of Fergusson
Hall to ask about room availability.
Individual students can also
stay here during the summer for normal semester room rates when staying
2 weeks or more. Click here to view room rates.
We offer a 25% discount during the summer for people staying who resided
at Ferguson Hall for semester 1 and/or 2 of the current year.
With its beautiful grounds,
trees and views Fergusson Hall provides an excellent venue for your
groups special event. Facilities that will make your event a success
include;
- Park-like grounds featuring
bush areas, a large formal rose garden, volleyball court, sports field
and wonderful views of the Manawatu
- Rooms equipped with bed,
desk, chair, draws, wardrobe, small fridge and socket to connect to
the internet if you have a network card in your computer
- Kitchens equipped with
ovens, microwaves, toasters and freezers (cutlery, crockery and cooking
equipment is available for individuals and small groups)
- Lounges and dining rooms
with tables, chairs, TV's, sky, video/DVD and couches
- A games room with a superb
full sized billiard table, ping pong table, Foosebay table and piano
- A large study room which
can be used for meetings, group or personal work. There are computers
in the study room connected to the internet and a laser printer which
are free to use.
