Māori Services - What We Can Do For You
Finding Information
Māori Services Librarians offer support, advice and training for Māori staff and students in the use of the Library's collections and services. Staff and students from the Auckland, Hokowhitu and Wellington libraries can contact Spencer for help in finding information.
Staff and students from the Turitea Library can contact either Spencer or Sheeanda for help in finding information.
Extramurals can contact Sheenda for help in finding information, or can request a subject search by submitting an Extramural Subject Search form.

Research Consultations
Available to staff and post-graduate students.
If you're having difficulty locating materials on a particular topic, would like personal assistance in negotiating the Massey University libraries and electronic resources, or simply need help beginning the research process -- we can help! We offer individual Research Consultations by appointment. Sessions can include identifying appropriate resources (in various formats) and mapping out research strategies.
You can meet either with a College Liaison Librarian responsible for the academic department you are studying in or a member of the Māori Services team. To request an appointment, please complete a Research Consultation form. If you are from the Auckland, Hokowhitu or Wellington libraries and wish to consult with a member of the Māori Services team, your research consultation may be conducted by phone or via email.
PLEASE NOTE: The research consultation service is limited to users affiliated with Massey University (students and staff). In order to do the necessary preliminary research and to accommodate your available times, we will usually need a minimum notice of 3 business days before scheduling the consultation. If you are an extramural student and unable to visit one of our campus libraries, we might be able to conduct a research consultation by phone or via email.
Undergraduate Assignment Assistance
If you are a Turitea undergraduate student and are having trouble finding information resources for your assignment contact Sheeanda or Spencer for advice.
If you are an undergraduate student at the Auckland, Hokowhitu or Wellington libraries, please ask for help at the Information Desk.
If you are an extramural student you can send in a Subject Search request to get advice on how to search. We may also be able to get you started by carrying out a brief search on your behalf and sending you a list of useful material to select from .
