Conference Room of MBS Enterprise

The School of Economics and Finance is arranging a one-day workshop at our Palmerston North campus focusing on applied microeconomics papers. The school has invited Professor Robert Breunig (ANU) to take part in the workshop so that the authors can be benefitted from his expertise/comments. (Professor Breunig is the Director of Tax and Transfer Policy Institute at the ANU and one of Australia’s leading Public Policy Economists. He has published in over 50 international academic journals in economics and public policy. His research is motivated by empirical study of important social policy issues in the field of applied microeconomics & microeconometrics.)

The workshop will be held on 26 November, 9 am-5 pm at the Conference room of MBS Enterprise; other details are yet to be finalised. At the end of the workshop, Professor Breunig may discuss issues related to academic communications including writing, presentation, publication and reviewing. He may also discuss strategies for attracting funding, grant proposal writing, consultancy, and networking. The discussion can be relevant for students and staffs and we encourage you to attend the workshop. Please RSVP Sacha Smith (s.smith3@massey.ac.nz) in case you are interested to join. For any other issues related to the workshop, please contact Syed Hasan (s.a.hasan@massey.ac.nz).
