Semester 2

Semester dates 2020

  • Semester 1 2020 restarted on 20 April.
  • Semester 2 2020 starts on 20 July.

Semester dates 2020

For Semester 2, students will have a blended learning experience that offers greater flexibility and online learning support, alongside face-to-face teaching for internal students.

More course material will be available online to give you greater flexibility if you need to be away from campus due to illness, travel restrictions, or other reasons. This also means we will be better prepared if the COVID-19 situation worsens.

There will be some differences between the approaches of each college due to the nature of their courses, but these are our general principles:

  • Most lectures will be offered online for all students so those who are unable to be on campus still have access to all their course materials.
  • In most cases, tutorials will be offered both online and in face-to-face classes to offer maximum flexibility.
  • Face-to-face teaching will resume, although the amount of face-to-face teaching will depend on your particular course – each college has supplied course-specific information in the links below.
  • All those learning activities that can’t be taught remotely because they require specialist equipment, studios or labs, or involve field-trips or placements, will run as usual and be offered in person.
  • You will get face-to-face interaction with staff if you want it, and full access to facilities, supported by an increased ability to engage online.

If you can’t attend face-to-face activities, and your course has required studios, labs, field-trips, placements or on-farm activities, you should discuss this with your course coordinator at the start of the semester. They will work with you to provide additional opportunities to allow you to complete all the required course components.
