Hundreds of prospective students, from school leavers to adult students, will descend on Massey University’s Wellington campus on Friday, August 23.

Visitors will be able to sample many aspects of student life, from lectures and workshops to campus tours. Families are welcome to join in and explore what Massey has to offer.

The Wellington campus is known as a hub for creativity and innovation, with its College of Creative Arts the dominant provider of creative education in New Zealand - ranked in the top two schools in the Asia-Pacific region.

Two new majors are being offered for the Bachelor of Design with Honours - integrated design and concept design. The latter builds on the School of Design’s Weta Workshop School Masters programme, creating a pipeline of talented graduates ready for roles in New Zealand’s booming entertainment industry across film, theatre, television, video game development and interactive experiences.

The largest programme on the Wellington campus is the Bachelor of Communication, which was ranked the best communication programme in New Zealand in the Shanghai Rankings last month.

Prospective students can explore arts, teaching and social sciences, aviation, business, communication, creative arts, health, sciences and engineering, and can learn more about living and studying at Massey.

Alongside the presentations and displays, activities will include crocodile bikes, student demonstrations, exhibitions, drawing activities, entertainment, and tours.
