Value and Tenure
The value of the grant is $2,000 per year and is tenable for one year.

Typical Number on Offer
Up to 5 travel grants will be awarded.

Eligibility
Applicants must be:
• enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Massey University
• enrolled in the third, fourth, or fith year of study
• intending to ‘see practice’ at the Clutha Vet Association

Selection Criteria
Selection will be based on:
• academic merit
• financial need
• interest in working in rural large or mixed animal practice, particularly in the south

Selection Committee
The grants will be awarded at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Cultha Veterinary Association.

Conditions of the Grant
Recipients will be expected to spend two weeks seeing practice in Balclutha or Milton during the award year.
Grants will be awarded annually for each year’s study but recipients may be eligible to reapply is subsequent years.
Payment will be made as a lump sum upon seeing practice.
