Ballance Agri-Nutrients Scholarship

Bay of Plenty Farmers Education Trust

Bay of Plenty Farmers Education Trust Scholarship

Applications are invited from any student that has attended a primary or secondary school in the Bay of Plenty Federated Farmers Region encompassing Opotiki, Whakatane, Kawerau, Western Bay of Plenty District Councils and Tauranga City Council but excluding Rotorua/Taupo District Council area. You must have been doing an agricultural or veterinary course for at least one year, either full time or part time at a Polytech or University in New Zealand. This scholarship is to assist in the payment of tutorial fees in the enrolled course.

Marion Cunningham Memorial Fund

The MCMF Grant is awarded to students engaging in research that is practicable and relevant to current wildlife concerns. The research should enhance veterinary contributions to the welfare and management of New Zealand's wildlife and promote communication among both veterinarians and non-veterinarians with expertise in wildlife management and research. It should also encourage conservation, especially by veterinary contributions, to the management of threatened species.

Massey University Statistics Scholarship

McConnell Elton Foundation Bursary

Open to all final year Veterinary students at Massey University. Applicants need to be able to demonstrate a philanthropic nature, or be active volunteers, or serve in committees or groups that benefit others.

Meat Industry Scholarships
Closing date: 01/12/2018   
Six undergraduate scholarships will be offered every year, with an award of $5000 a year for each year of study. In addition, part-time or vacation work in the meat industry may be offered. Four post-graduate scholarships will be offered with an award of $10,000 a year for each year of study. In addition, part-time or vacation work in the meat industry may be offered.

New Zealand Grain and Seed Trade Association Scholarship

One scholarship will be offered annually to a full-time student studying at either Massey University or Lincoln University. Massey University applicants for the scholarship will be in their second year of study towards a Bachelors degree relevant to the grain and seed industry.

Norwood Undergraduate Scholarship

Applications open from 10 December. There shall be a Scholarship called the Norwood Undergraduate Scholarship. Candidates must be undertaking a full-time undergraduate degree in agriculture or horticulture at Massey University, with preference given to students in their first year of study.

Ormond Meat Marketing Scholarship

Open to Massey University students who are preferably enrolled full-time for the Bachelor of AgriCommerce degree, though some Bachelor of AgriScience students may also be eligible. Preference will be given to applicants who are following a career path into agribusiness and the meat industry.

Putaruru Veterinary Club Education Trust

Te Runanga O Te Rarawa Scholarships

The purpose of the scholarships is to assist and promote higher education amongst the descendants of the Iwi of Te Rarawa.

The Piki Ake Kake Ake Scholarship
Closing date: 30/11/2018   
Piki ake kake ake is a metaphorical term in te reo Māori that means to climb and to ascend. In the context of this scholarship, piki ake kake ake symbolises the hopes and aspirations of tangata whenua, by assisting four Māori students to excel in the disciplines of communication management, expressive arts, journalism, linguistics, marketing, media studies and public relations. The School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing and the School of English and Media Studies wish to assist and support Māori students to be successful.

Thornton Memorial Dairy Bursary

Applications open from 10 December. Open to MU students enrolled full-time for the agriculture major in the BAppliSc, BAgriSci or the BSc degree who have completed their 1st year of the degree. Students in Years 2 & 3 of the BAgriCommerce will also be considered if they can show a genuine interest in dairy farming.

Toioho Ki Apiti (BMVA) Undergraduate Scholarship

Open to applicants must be eligible, and intending, to enrol for full-time (minimum of 105 credits) study in the first year (i.e. 100 level) of the Bachelor of Maori Visual Arts (BMVA) programme in the year following this award. Open to domestic and international students.

Travel & Accommodation Assistance Fund

The Travel & Accommodation Assistance Fund provides financial assistance to students selected to represent their country in their chosen sport at an international event.

Waimate Agricultural Trust
Closing date: 01/11/2018   
Available to assist students of any form of agriculture for the purpose of their education by any polytechnic, university or other recognised formal training institution. Applicants must be within the boundaries of Waitaki river in the south, Pareora river in the north.

Wairakei Charitable Trust
Closing date: 31/12/2018   
Educational scholarships for students of Nga Hapu descent are open. All applications for scholarships will be considered by the Trust with a special emphasis on (but not limited to) the area of natural resource management.

Waitawhiti Memorial Scholarship - Undergraduate

Candidates must be enrolled full-time for a Bachelor's degree programme in agriculture or horticulture (prefix of 112, 117, 119, 189, 283, 284 or 285) at Massey University. Candidates must be New Zealand citizens and preference will be given to residents of Wairarapa.
