Scholarships and awards

We're looking for candidates who have a record of academic excellence, leadership and community engagement and contribution. You will be enrolling in the first year of a bachelor degree in the year following the award and intending to live in the University Halls.

This is an undergraduate scholarship.

When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic record, community involvement and leadership skills.

Eligibility

You must:

• be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
• be undertaking your first university qualification
• be entering the first year of your degree
• have successfully gained credits as outlined in this award's regulations
• be able to demonstrate evidence of leadership and community engagement

Application checklist

Please include the following with your application:

• transcripts for your Year 12 secondary school results
• a 500 word statement, written, audio, or video outlining the basis on which you have applied and what you hope to achieve during your university career, your achievements to date and the impacts and difference that the scholarship would have on you
• a character reference from a Senior Member of your current school
• proof of your Whakapapa and Iwi (if applicable)
