Heseltine Ecology Bursary

The funds for the bursary have been donated by Massey University staff, Dr Ian Stringer and Associate Professor Alastair Robertson, from conservation-related contracts they held. In 2019, the Heseltine Trust provided an additional $75,000 to the corpus of the fund and the Ecology Bursary was renamed the Heseltine Ecology Bursary.

This is a postgraduate scholarship. You will want to or be undertaking research in one of these subject areas:

  • conservation biology
  • ecology
  • zoology

When choosing our recipient, we will consider your academic achievements and your proposed research project

Eligibility

You must:

  • be studying full-time
  • study on the Manawatū campus
  • be studying in a specific subject area.

Please include the following with your application:

  • a research outline
  • your CV
  • an academic reference, preferably from your research supervisor
  • your academic transcripts for any tertiary study completed outside of Massey University
