Scholarships and awards

We're looking for students who will be studying or undertaking research abroad for up to six months.

This is a postgraduate award. You will be doing one of these activities abroad:

• attending seminars, workshops or courses
• attending conferences to present a paper
• participating in cooperative research with researchers abroad
• undertaking research or fieldwork at facilities not available in New Zealand.

When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic achievements and other scholarships or bursaries you hold. We will also consider your proposed research project, the benefit of your activities abroad to your research project, and how well you can represent Massey University and New Zealand abroad. This award may not be granted each and every year.

Eligibility

You must:

• be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
• be studying full-time
• have good academic standing.

Application checklist

Please include the following with your application:

• a statement on the reasons for your travel abroad and the benefit and relevance of this travel to your study and or research.
• a research outline
• Evidence of presentation acceptance (if applicable)
• a proposed budget. Please submit a full budget for the travel including all associated costs such as (but not limited to) registration fee, travel, accommodation. This must also include any other sources of funding for this travel.
