This scholarship is funded by the Aspin family and the Livestock Improvement Corporation (LIC), who matches their donation. Brian Aspin was a passionate dairy farmer who had a 38 year association with the LIC. Brian was an AB Technician, an AB Supervisor, Liaison Farmer and then a Shareholder Councillor. He died of cancer in 2011.

What you'll be studying

These are postgraduate scholarships. You will want to study an honour's or master's degree in one of these subject areas:

  • Agriculture
  • Agriculture Science
  • Science (majoring in areas such as, Agricultural Biotechnology, Biochemistry or Animal Science)

You must be:

  • a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • studying in specific subject areas
