Associate Professor Lindsay Trotman

Associate Professor

School of Accountancy

Lindsay’s research interests are in the area of misleading or deceptive conduct and corporate law. He has contributed to a number of company law publications in New Zealand and Australia including Company and Securities Law in New Zealand and Australian Corporation Law Principles and Practice.  Lindsay has also authored books on corporate debt securities, misrepresentation and the Fair Trading Act and co-authored a book on misleading or deceptive conduct.  He is an Overseas Reports  Editor (New Zealand) for the Australian Journal of Competition and Consumer Law.

Lindsay is a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.  He is honorary solicitor for a number of charitable trusts and incorporated societies and is engaged in numerous university and community activities.

Lindsay Trotman is an Associate Professor of Law in the Massey Business School.  Lindsay’s principal teaching responsibilities are in company law, misleading or deceptive conduct and personal property securities law.
