Multi-Carrier Cooperative Wireless Communication: Performance Analysis and Resource Allocation

Read article at Massey Research Online: MRO icon

Future wireless communication systems require the use of advanced technologies to effectively enhance the use of radio resources. This requirement motivated research on relay-based cooperative wireless communication. Mr Abrar studied resource allocation in relay-based wireless networks under different protocols and relaying techniques. He formulated optimal resource allocation problems under different assumptions and constraints and proposed a number of computationally efficient resource allocation algorithms. Simulation results proved that his algorithms provided a good trade-off between network throughput and fairness among users in multi-user cooperative wireless networks.
