I am a social and health researcher and evaluator, with a PhD in health psychology. My research explores the impacts the social and commercial determinants of health have on health inequities and ways these can be addressed.
I maintain an active, competitively funded research programe in the area of gender, sexuality and health, and contribute to the SHORE & Whariki Research Centre’s wider public health research programme. My research has been funded by a number of agencies, including: Ministry of Health, NZ AIDS Foundation, Health Workforce New Zealand, Health Promotion Agency, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Auckland City, Waitemata DHB.
