I am a social and health researcher and evaluator, with a PhD in health psychology. I maintain an active, competitively funded research programe in the area of gender, sexuality and health, and contribute to the SHORE & Whariki Research Centre’s wider public health research programme.
My research explores the impacts the social and commercial determinants of health have on health inequities and ways these can be addressed.
My research has been funded by a number of agencies, including: Ministry of Health, NZ AIDS Foundation, Health Workforce New Zealand, Health Promotion Agency, Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Auckland City, Waitemata DHB.
